Research and identify shippers within your niche.
Determine key decision makers (People who have authority to approve agreements and give you loads).
Call/Email companies and decision makers to make initial contact and service offering.
Follow up and marketing.
Get shipper to agree to use your services.
Send broker shipper packet to new shippers. Receive signed copy.
Perform credit check on shippers.
Get shipper to provide you with a load.
Provide a rate quote to shippers for moving their freight. Receive signed copy.
Find carriers to move shipper’s freight (direct or via load boards).
Check carrier authority, safety rating, and insurance.
Onboard carriers: Send broker carrier packet to carrier. Receive signed copy.
Send rate confirmation to carriers with load information. Receive signed copy.
Confirm load pickup.
Perform check calls as needed.
Confirm load delivery.
Receive Signed BOL or other form of POD from carrier.
Pay carrier.
Invoice shippers and collect payment.
